In simple words Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) each year conducted exams for Pre-medical students in Pakistan and only in Punjab MCAT exams are conducting by the University of Health sciences Lahore, there is around 45000 students attempt this test every year but 3000 lucky candidates sit on the seats in medical colleges of Punjab for advance and higher education same in this profession. Test formation in MCAT examination is typically in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, verbal reasoning and analytical writing.
Before doing MCAT exams there are some requirements or eligibility they want from their candidates who are going to applying, that are given below:
Candidate should be done F.Sc. in Pre-Medical or other equivalent study program.
F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) Marks Certificate attested by the Head and Certificate issued by the Head of the Institute.
Minimum marks should be 60% mean 660/1100 marks, Hifz-e-Quran candidate will get 20 marks extra this benefits will help them to other students.
Oxford A-Level study system or American school system 12th Grade would be required submitting Certificate issued by IBCC (Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen).
Punjab and Federal Capital Area AJK, Gilgit/ Baltistan are eligible for MCAT exams if they have their domicile then they can appear in MCAT examination.
Dual nationality holder Pakistanis need SAT II and they also have to obtain minimum 550 marks for the MCAT exams for admission against special reserved seats to them under the body of Pakistan Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) & Self- Finance Scheme (SFS).
MCAT examination conducted always under the Ministry of Health. Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) declared results every year in October and submit MCAT entry test before 31st October every year.
